This past weekend, I had the incredible honor of celebrating a historic milestone, the 110th anniversary of the Alpha Beta chapter of Alpha Delta Pi at the University of Iowa. Returning to the chapter house is always a nostalgic experience, but this anniversary felt particularly special as we honored over a century of leadership, scholarship, and sisterhood on this campus.

Bridging the Gap: Alumnae and Collegiate Life

One of the most rewarding aspects of the weekend was the opportunity to reconnect with friends from my collegiate years while meeting the current members who are carrying our legacy forward. It was a joy to introduce some of the newer members to our alumnae network, ensuring that the bonds of our "Diamond Family" remain as strong as ever.

A New Perspective on the Housing Board

For the past two years, I’ve had the pleasure of serving on the Alpha Beta Housing Corporation Board. This role has given me a unique "behind-the-scenes" look at the physical and cultural evolution of our chapter house. Seeing the tangible improvements and growth at the house over just the last couple of years has been incredibly fulfilling. It’s a reminder that while our traditions stay the same, our environment is constantly evolving to support the next generation of women.

The Future of Alpha Beta

Leaving the celebration, I felt a renewed sense of pride in our chapter. 110 years is an amazing achievement, but seeing the passion and drive of the current members makes me even more excited for the future. I am already looking forward to the next time we can all gather to celebrate the continued growth and success of the women of Alpha Beta!
