The moment has finally arrived! I am incredibly proud and excited to officially announce that I have graduated with my Master of Arts in Strategic Communications from the University of Iowa. These past two years have been a journey of immense growth, late-night study sessions, and invaluable lessons that have shaped not only my career but my perspective on the power of storytelling.

As I move forward, I am eager to take the strategic knowledge I’ve gained out into the professional world. My time at Iowa has deepened my commitment to being an advocate for higher education and effective communications. I will continue to advocate for communications studies and higher education, especially for young women and the Latinx community.

A Foundation of Support

Earning this degree was a collective effort. I truly could not have crossed this stage without the unwavering love and support of my family and friends. To my parents, who have been my biggest cheerleaders as I navigated life as a first-generation student, and to my friends who kept me motivated through every deadline I will be forever grateful for your support.

A Night of Cultural Pride

To top off this incredible experience, I am honored to be participating in the Latinx Graduation Ceremony hosted by the Latino Native American Cultural Center (LNACC). There is something so powerful about celebrating our culture and accomplishments in a space that feels like home. Being surrounded by a community that genuinely loves and cheers for one another is the perfect way to conclude my time here.

I am leaving the University of Iowa with a full heart, a Master’s degree in hand, and an excitement for the adventures to come.

Oh and of course, Go Hawks!
