MEDIA PRODUCTION

Throughout my education and career, I have embraced the full spectrum of media production, stepping into diverse roles that range from the technical to the performative. Whether I’m scripting the narrative, capturing the frame, or bringing a character to life on screen, I bring a holistic understanding of the creative process to every project.

I believe that being a versatile creator means being a better storyteller.

Central DeWitt Music Boosters Sample Fundraiser Ad

Writer, Producer, Editor

This was an ad I created for a writing class as part of my master's program. I have added this to my portfolio to show another ad example I have worked on but this time with no film equipment, live shots, and a shorter turnaround time. I learned more on voiceovers and editing together still shots and short limited content but still created an effective ad. If I could do this project again I would include interviews from students or teachers within the program rather than the still visuals to add more perspective.

Amor Cakes Video Ad

Director, Writer, Producer, Videographer, Editor

This is an ad I created for a short-form media class in my undergrad. This was my first solo media project where I learned to use camera and lighting equipment on my own outside of the classroom. I am including this to show my growth and the independence I gained after working on this project. If I could do this project again I would add a few more scenes to give variety to the content and have my business owner give more on her perspective.

MAJOR PROBLEMS Sitcom Pilot Episode

Writer, Producer, Technical Director, Leading Actress

This was for a writing and producing television class in my undergrad and it was my first major project where I held multiple roles as a technical director, writer, and an actress. I am including this to show my flexibility and versatility as I was writing, directing and memorizing lines for my scenes all at once. If I could do this project again I would do this with a smaller group, we had around 15 people trying to write and contribute for our first project and I think a smaller group would have been easier to work through edits with. However this also taught me a lot about working in large groups, when to speak up and when to get input from others.
